i have medium/ long brown very curly hair and its actually about 2 or 3 inches past my shoulders and i wanted to get it cut short...prolly about 5 inches off? what do ya think? should i do it or not?

Since you have very curly hair, you should cut it, but only a bit shorter than shoulder length. If you have a round face, up to your chin would be ok. Oval face, shoulder length.

oo very curly??? i wud say no. i have curly hair and when my hair was really short i looked like a poodle! so unless u wanna starighten it every day i wudnt recommend it

I think you should go to a wig shop and try on a wig that is the style and length of the haircut you want.

When you get your hair shortened, it will be a lot curler, so you need to consider that.

Keep in mind that the shorter curly hair is, the poofier it gets. If you're going to do it, make sure you get it cut DRY, not wet, and make sure your stylist knows how to shape curly hair! Otherwise you could end up with anything from a triangle head to a 'fro!
