does anyone know a good site or somethings like that where it will help you decide what cut will look good in your hair. what sorta things are in fashiona dn stuff like that. i need some ideas of how i want it and a picture so that i dont have to explain it and get it wrong to the hair dressser! What I would have you do,is go into a book store,and pick out some fashion magazines,hair magazines and movie magazines and look for your face shape and if possible, your hair color as well. When you find a couple of styles that you like buy those magazines and cut the pictures out to bring with you to the salon. They can help you decide which would be more becoming and why. If you have a high forehead,bangs are good, if you have a long narrow face,and short bob rounds it and softens. etc.

I make sure I go to a really great stylist. She knows what's popular and most importantly, how anything will look with my face shape and if it will work with my hair.

For example, it won't do me any good at all to completely love someone's haircut if they have thick, curly hair and a long face if I have thin straight hair and a round face.

I usually go in and sit down and ask what's popular for color these days and if I should be thinking about long or short hair and she tells me what's popular and together we sort of invent something that works for me.
