Because her cousin had his curly hair cut as a baby and his mom said it never came back curly. Now she won't cut it!

It might not. It's not the process of cutting it that causes the hair to be straight, it's just that sometimes the babies "first hair" (for lack of a better term) is curly, and once that's gone their actual hair is straight.

That happened with both of my daughters who had adorable curls at first.

If his hair is naturally curly then it will still be curly after being cut.

Not necessarily. My niece started growing beautiful curly hair when she was a baby. Now she is 2 and a half and her hair is bone straight, except for the ends, where my sister never cut it, which are curly. her hair is adorable, but we know that as soon as her hair is cut, those beautiful curls will be gone forever. If her baby is destined to have straight hair, it will grow out straight whether she cuts it or not.

if it is in the genes the curls will come back no matter when or how its cut. but some kids grow out of the curls the older they get. it just depends

My brother's hair was very curly and my mom cut it... What can I say? It sure didn't grow back curly...AT ALL!!! A lot of people say that if a baby has curly hair then don't cut it because it will never grow back the same.

if the whole head is solid curls, then he probably has curly hair. Let it get long enough to see. But if the ends just have curls and the top is straight, they won't come back. The curls are cute, but long hair on boy's isn't.

if you want the hair to stay curly do not cut it only alittle trim dead ends, my mother when i was a baby cut all my hair off and now i have straight and it used to be locks of curls
