but i don't know what that hairstyle is called...also i have african american hair and seeing as my hair is nappy would that be a smart move as far as getting it to stay like that without spending 40 bucks to get it done every two weeks?

If you want your hair done in a particular style get a picture of someone with their hair in that style and take it to your hairdresser. They will be able to advise you if it will work for you.

just take the pictures, or find a similar one in the books they have. It's gonna be expensive anyway, might be worth it though if you really like it

you can bring in a picture and show your stylist, or just describe exactly how you want it. its always best to talk to them about what you want instead of just saying what type of haircut, because they dont always cut it just the way you imagined

Yeah, just take the picture with you. When I was in Japan, I had a even worse dilemma, I couldn't even big to explain in Japanese what I wanted. So I just brought in a picture of mark mcgrath :P

print out the picture and show it to the hairdresser and she will do it for u, you should probaly cut your hair and instead of paying 40$ to get in done every 2 weeks just get it trimmed and washed (10$-20$) and style it yourself
